Dandelion facial oil has long been known for its clarifying and regenerative properties and supporting the skin’s natural biome, driven by its environmental stressor-protective actives (polyphenols, beta-carotene, phenolic acids) and regenerative compounds (vitamins, inulin). Its polyphenols and beta-carotene provide a two-layer defense: beta-carotene acts as a true UVB filter, absorbing UV radiation to shield skin from damage, while polyphenols and phenolic acids protect against oxidative stress from environmental aggressors (e.g., UV rays, pollution). These compounds, alongside vitamins and inulin, have been known to stimulate cell turnover, reduce inflammation, and foster an ideal environment for skin repair. The phenolic acids also contribute selective antimicrobial activity, targeting pathogens (e.g., Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes) to maintain a balanced microbiome, further supporting regeneration.
